Approximately 99% of Barbara Lesser's merchandise is made in the United States. Los Angeles is a strong market for the production of knit garments and denim items and we appreciate the talent available right in our local community.

Barbara works closely with southern California factories that are able to do very special artisan dye techniques in limited production runs, creating unique applications for each season. Our denim treatments are done by specialists in the field, utilizing environmentally responsible products and techniques as dictated by California law.

Occasionally, Barbara finds items from exotic places that are so unique that it is worthwhile to develop them for her collection. Often these items are representative of their indigenous cultures. They are always clearly marked as an imported garment.
